June 24th, 2016

This week, we blasted off into summer with an outer space theme!

We started with our library of awesomeness...

a solar system sensory bin...

and we made galaxy playdough.

This served useful for our galaxy-traveling astronauts.

We studied our books...

and fingerpainted marble-colored planets....
We colored our solar system...

and put together our solar system puzzle, too.

We created a galaxy backsplash...

for our astronauts.

We also spent time learning about the moon (moon buggies were a big hit)...

and the moon's phases.

We made rockets headed for the moon, later adding the letters of our name in each square.

We made our rocket take-home book, too.

Actually, we got super into rockets and eventually made our own.

It was a week to remember!

Graduation Day

Today is the day!  Today is the day where I look at each one of my students and I know it's time they move up in their world.

We have accomplished a lot this year and we've done it together.

We made rainbow celery together...

We formed raindrops together...

We built playdough letters together...

We painted handprints together...

 We were super adorable together...

We grew tomatoes together...

We baked gingerbread men together...

 We held butterflies together...

 We mixed ingredients together...

We smashed green, sparkly playdough together...

We looked through magnifying glasses together...

We listened to stories together...

We played with letter bins together...

 We practiced writing together...

 We danced together...

 We formed glue clouds together...

 We practiced yoga together...

We ran in our Jog-a-Thon together...

We played in the Shark Tank together...

We slid down slides together...

 We rode tricycles together...

 We were artists together...

 We carved pumpkins together...

 ...and we stacked turtles together.

Forever in my heart is the Red Team...

the Yellow Team...

the Orange Team...

the Green Team...

and the Blue Team.

I will retire these team names because no one else could possibly be in my Red, Yellow, Orange Green, and Blue teams.

For those of you moving on after today, you will sorely be missed.  For those of you continuing throughout the summer, I'll see you bright and early Monday morning!
