This week, we really focused on our five senses. We had fun going through the trays filled with objects we could see, hear, smell, touch, and on one of the days, taste.
We also wrapped up our all-about-me theme. In my class, we finished off with a personalized bulletin boards. Each has a photograph, a drawn picture of their family, a hand-print, and a caricature.
And, in Ms. Suzie's class, each student created a water-colored portrait.
Ms. Suzie's students also worked on painted muffins after reading, "If You Give a Moose a Muffin". Each child was then asked what would happen if they were given a muffin...
"If you give Millie a muffin...
she'll want all the pink ones!"
"If you give Henri a muffin...
he'll want a donut!"
"If you give Leonard a muffin...
he'll an orange muffin!"
Back in my class, we worked with noodles to make a collage.
We also used them to practice sorting and counting.
We finished the week off with our Fun Friday Pizza! The children greatly looked forward to it and it did not disappoint!
We have fun in preschool!
Love this blog and how detailed you are in recapping the week's happenings. I look forward to following the girls pre-school experience through your blog. Thanks, Sarah. - Stacie Mezzadri
