December 9th, 2016

This month has been magical!

We started off right away with a visit from Santa.

Santa was so patient.  Even when our list was really, really long!

Afterwards, we opened our presents...

...and then we wrote our thank-you notes.

Thanks, Santa and Elf!

We also figured out triangles and origami snowflakes!

We made our door display and, oddly enough, no two snowflakes were alike.

We read The Gingerbread Boy.

Then, we made our own gingerbread boys (or girls).
We put in the dry ingredients...

we added the wet ingredients...

and we mixed!
We poured them together...

and we stirred!

We made a huge, floury mess.  Then, we rolled.

And we cut!

Then, we baked.

Eventually, we were ready to frost.

Finally, our favorite part.  We ate!

We painted some Christmas trees...

to make our tree display.

We practiced sorting littlest to biggest as we made our Christmas tree ornaments, too.

We didn't forget about our Jj's!

And, we definitely didn't forget to count... candy on gingerbread houses.
This got us ready for our next big project...

Gingerbread houses!
Each team got to collaboratively work on their own house.

Truly, it takes a village to raise a child.

Especially if it's a gingerbread village.

We love Christmas time!

Especially when we look so cute in Santa hats!
