First Week Chocolate Chip Cookies

How to make First Week of School Chocolate Chip Cookies

First, mix together 2 1/4 cups of all purpose flour

1 teaspoon of baking soda

and 2 shakes of salt in a bowl.  Set aside.

In another bowl, combine 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1 cup softened butter

1 teaspoon vanilla

and 2 eggs.

Stir vigorously.

Maybe even with an electric mixer.

Combine the dry ingredients and chocolate chips

Then, rolling spoonfuls of dough into a ball, place on a cookie sheet

Bake at 375° for 8-10 minutes

and cool as the children look longingly at them.

Finally, enjoy!

Cookies are best when served after a week of painting...

drawing...

writing...

counting pebbles in flight gear...

constructing Mr. Potato Head...

circle time with Ms. Michelle...

making handprints with Ms. Jamie.

and reading stories with Ms. Laura.

I'd say it's been a really good week.  Definitely worthy of First Week Cookies.
