May 27th, 2016

This week, we partied.

We finished our whole alphabet!

Then, we got into a Chicka Chicka Boom Boom theme where all the letters climb up the coconut tree.

We played in our sensory bins which were inspired by the the book...

...and Hawaii.

We practiced our scissor use as we made our own letter trees...

...we listened to the sound recording...

...and we've been reviewing each letter of the alphabet.

We also practiced our math with a 1,2,3 coconut tree.

Creating addition and subtraction sentences, the children used "coconuts" as counting manipulatives.

Then, we learned about hula dancing.

Which, I'm just gonna say it, we're pretty awesome at.

We made Hawaiian leis.

We made Hawaiian pineapples.

We read Hawaiian books.

But, the most exciting part of our week?  We made tomatoes!

Look!  We did that!!!

We are a hula-dancing, tomato-growing bunch!
