We looked! And we saw him!  The Cat in the Hat!

This week, we celebrated Dr. Seuss' birthday and Read Across America.

We started our week by Dr. Seussing out the classroom...

and we made my favorite footprint art.

We read El gato ensombrerado...

and then we made our door display.

We made our name hats...

and we worked hard with the _AT word family.

And we read...

a lot!

We read Hop on Pop.  Then, we put together a Hop on Pop puzzle.

We read Yertle the Turtle.  Then, we attempted to stack as many turtles as we could on top of one another.

Some of us were able to stack really high!

We read One Fish Two Fish.  Then, we graphed goldfish crackers.

We read The Lorax.  Then, we made some paper plate art...

and made predictions about how The Lorax could end if someone like us cared an awful lot.

The best part about Dr. Seuss week, though?  Making Green Eggs and Ham!

Glad Sam-I-Am is there to help us out!

Happy Dr. Seuss week!
